Creating a new security group.

How to Get There

In the Navigation Bar, click User Securityunder settings, then click Security Groups.

On the Security Groups tab, click Add to add a new group or click The Show Actions buttonShow Actions next to any existing group and click Edit Group to edit it.

Options

Name • Description

The name and description of the Security Group.

LDAP Group

If you use LDAP authentication, you can use an LDAP Group distinguished name* in your Security Groups that will automatically assign certain Users to the Security Group when they first log on.

Roles

The Roles assigns to the user. See Adding Roles.

Users

The Users assigned to the Security Group. See Adding Users.

Authorized To

The areas and products of HelpSystems One that the role is authorized to.

Cancel • Save

Click Cancel to dismiss the pane. Click Save to confirm your changes.
