Adding or Editing a Request

You can add as many requests as you need for the available products specified below. Within each request you can select from a variety of available metrics.

NOTE: In order to use Robot Monitor with Insite Watch List, the Robot Monitor product library must be MSM.

  1. In the Navigation Pane, select Requests under Insite Watch List. The Requests page displays.

  2. To add a new request, click the Add button.

    To edit an existing request, click the request name or select Edit from the Show Actions menu.

  3. In the resulting New or Edit Request panel, add or edit the request Name.

  4. Add or edit the request Description.

  5. Select a product from the Select Product drop-down list.

    NOTE: Currently, only Robot Monitor requests are available.

  6. Select Product Connections from the list. You can select one or multiple connections from which to create the request.

  7. Select the Request Type.

  8. Choose which metrics to include in the request.

  9. Select the Primary Date.

  10. Specify a Collection Interval.

  11. Specify how long to keep the data.

  12. Click Save.

Name

Enter or edit the name of your request. Use a name that is descriptive enough to identify the request.

Description

Enter a description for the request.

Select Product

Select the name of the product for which you are creating the request.

NOTE: Currently, Robot Monitor is the only supported product.
Select Product Connections

Select one or more systems that you want to use for the request. They must have Robot Monitor installed, and they must be set up as Products within HelpSystems Insite.

Request Type

Specify the type of request you would like to create.

NOTE: Currently, for Robot Monitor, the only supported request type is "iSeries built-in elements".

Select Available Metrics

The metrics available for Robot Monitor are listed. Specify the values you want to collect.

Primary Date

Specify the Primary Date.

NOTE: Currently, for Robot Monitor, the only supported primary date is "Monitoring time".
Collection Interval

Specify how often data is collected for the request. The default is every 30 seconds. The following intervals are available:

  • Seconds
  • Minutes
  • Hours
  • Days
Keep Data

Specify how long the data is kept for display on the dashboards. The default is 10 hours. The following are available:

  • Seconds
  • Minutes
  • Hours
  • Days
