Edit Group Drawer

The Edit Group drawer allows you to edit an existing group of endpoints. The drawer will have slightly different fields depending on if it is a static group or a dynamic group.

Fields

Group Name
The name of the group you are adding or editing.
Description
A description of the group.
Group Type
The type of group: static or dynamic.
Click the trash button to delete the group.

Static Group Fields

Endpoints
The number of endpoints assigned to the group.
+ Assign Endpoints
Click Assign Endpoints to add endpoints to the group. In the Assign Endpoints window, select the endpoints to add to the group, and click Update. Endpoints that have already been assigned have a check next to them.
Capability
The capability of the group. You cannot assign an endpoint to two static groups with the same capability.
+ Assign Modules
Click Assign Modules to open the Assign Modules window. In the Assign Modules window, select the modules you would like associated with the group, and click OK.

Dynamic Group Fields

Rank
Enter a rank for this dynamic group.
  • Rank is a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 500.

  • An endpoint can belongs to multiple dynamic groups. If the endpoint belongs to two groups have the same capability (module), then the endpoint will have the module applied to it based on the group with the highest rank (lowest number) .

    EXAMPLE: An endpoint is part of 2 dynamic groups: 1 EDR group and 1 DLP group. The endpoint will get modules from both. If it matches 4 groups: 2 with EDR modules, and 2 with DLP modules. The endpoint will get modules from the higher ranked EDR group and the higher ranked DLP group.
Assigned Endpoints
The number of endpoints currently belonging to the group based on the rule.
Edit Rule
Opens the Create/Edit Rule window. Rules are a set of logic statements used to dynamically add endpoints to a group based on specific conditions.
+ Assign Modules
Click Assign Modules to open the Assign Modules window. In the Assign Modules window, select the modules you would like associated with the group, and click OK.
