Endpoints

When the Fortra Agent is installed on a system, it will appear in the list of endpoints. The Endpoints page allows you to view a list of all connected endpoints and their statuses. It enables you to quickly identify the status and version of the Fortra Agent as well as the capabilities that are associated with the endpoint.

Table Columns

Name
The name of the endpoint.
Agent Status
The status of the Fortra Agent on the endpoint.
Version
The version of the Fortra Agent on the endpoint. This column is hidden by default, click Settings to change the columns that appear in the list of endpoints.
Capability
The capability available on the endpoint. The capability is provided through the module. The endpoint inherits its module from the group it is assigned to, unless overridden using the Edit Endpoint Module page.
The possible capabilities are:
  • DLP Data Loss Prevention

  • EDR Endpoint Detection and Response

OS
The operating system of the endpoint.
Last Seen
The last time the endpoint was recognized by Endpoint Manager.

Sorting and Searching

  • Click Name, Agent Status, or Last Seen to sort endpoints by these headings.

  • Use the Search bar to quickly find endpoints by name.

Filtering

Endpoints can be filtered by group, agent status, capability, module state, and whether the endpoint configuration is overriding the inherited configuration from its associated group modules.

  • Click the Groups dropdown to filter by a specific group.

  • Click Add Filter to filter by Agent Status, Capability, Is Overriden, Module State, or OS.

  • Click Clear All to clear your filters and view all endpoints.

Available Actions

  • Click Settings to change the columns that appear in the list of endpoints. The default columns are: Name, Agent Status, Capability, OS, and Last Seen. The Version column is hidden by default.

  • Click Refresh to refresh the list of endpoints.

  • Two options are available when you click Actions next to an endpoint.

    Endpoint Details

    Opens the Endpoint Details drawer where you can see the details of the endpoint, add groups and modules, and collect logs.
    Edit Modules
    Opens an Edit Endpoints page where you can override the configuration that is inherited from the associated group.
  • Check the box next to the endpoint(s) and click Assign Group to assign a group to the selected endpoints.

  • Check the box next to the endpoint(s) with a failed module install and click Retry Failed Modules to retry the installation of the module on the endpoint. You can also retry a module installation from the Endpoint Details drawer.
