Collection Aging tab

The Collection Aging tab allows you to specify purging criteria for Manual and Automatic Assessments.

If the values are set to ‘0’ no purging is done for that criteria.

How to Get There

Right-click the Consolidator and choose Properties, then choose the Collection Aging tab.

Manual Assessments

  • Maximum number of assessments: The total number of Assessments that Powertech Compliance Monitor for IBM i can maintain at any time. The default value is 40; you can specify any value up to a maximum of 9999.
  • Maximum age of an assessment: The maximum age of an Assessment. The default value is 30 days; you can specify any value up to a maximum of 9999 days.
NOTE: When the total number of Assessments exceeds the maximum number you've specified, Powertech Compliance Monitor for IBM i automatically deletes the oldest, based on the date it was requested. The collection aging function uses an either/or logic (Maximum number OR maximum age).

For example, assume you've specified Maximum number of assessments = 40, and Maximum age = 30 days. If the next Assessment is number 41, Powertech Compliance Monitor for IBM i purges the oldest Assessment, so you don't exceed the maximum of 40. This occurs even if the oldest Assessment is only 10 days old because you've reached one of the purge criteria. Similarly, if you have only 10 Assessments, but one is 31 days old, Powertech Compliance Monitor for IBM i purges that Assessment.

Automatic Assessments

  • Maximum age within assessment: Specify the maximum number of days allowed in an automatic Assessment. You can specify up to 9999 days; the minimum is 0.
  • Maximum storage used: The maximum storage (in MB) that can be used per Endpoint. The maximum you can specify is 999998.
