Creating Custom Policies

You can define custom security policies for your business. When you define a custom policy, the Base Policy is used as a starting point and all custom policies are based on it.

When you define a custom policy, you only need to specify the system value settings you want to change from the Base Policy. Then, when you run an Assessment, Powertech Compliance Monitor for IBM i uses the values specified in the custom policy instead of those in the Base Policy.

To define a custom policy, right-click Custom Policies on the Edit Security Policy window and select New Policy to display the Edit Policy window.
