Endpoint tab

The Endpoint tab on the Endpoint Properties window allows you to edit the following information for the Endpoint:

• Name: The current name of the Endpoint displays, You can enter a different name for the Endpoint system.
• Description: Enter a brief description of the Endpoint system.
• IP Address: Enter the IP address or the system name of the Endpoint system.
• Time Zone: Specify a time zone for the Endpoint. The Time Zone field defaults to the time zone of your Web browser. You can select a different time zone from the drop-down list.
• Use TLS: Check this box to use a secure TLS connection to the Endpoint.
NOTE: In order to use TLS security to encrypt an IBM i Product Connection you must first configure a digital certificate, which contains the server's public encryption key. See Securing a Connection.
• QTIMZON: When you press the Test Connection button, the value in the QTIMZON system value on the Endpoint is returned into this field.

How to Get There

Right-click an Endpoint system in the System Groups tab. The Endpoint tab is already selected.

 

Click Test Connection to verify that the Endpoint can communicate with the Consolidator and to display the version of the Endpoint.

The user profile PLCMADMis used for communication between the Endpoint and the Consolidator. If you've changed the password for the user profile on the Endpoint, click Manage Password to display the Endpoint Password window where you can specify the new password.
