GDPR Reports
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law that defines the required appropriate measures for data protection and privacy in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). It also addresses the transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas. This legislation was passed by the European Parliament on May 25, 2018. It applies to any company collecting, storing, or processing personal data (personally identifiable information) if the personal data refers to individuals living in the European Union member states or European Free Trade Association countries.
Compliance Monitor's GDPR report group provides appropriate measures for compliance based on an interpretation of the GDPR standard by Fortras' IBM i experts. Portions of the GDPR that apply include articles 5, 6, 24, 25, 28, and 32.
The GDPR reports were designed to yield benefit with little configuration. Reports that can be useful for GDPR purposes but typically require custom filtering in order to limit the amount of information (such as T:ZC (Object Change) reports) are not included in the GDPR report group. Reports that require filtering can be added if desired.
The included reports provide a starting point for GDPR compliance, and are aimed at a balance between comprehensiveness and ease of use.
GDPR Reports are broken down into the following categories: GDPR Configuration, GDPR OS Events (events logged by the OS), and GDPR Powertech Events (events logged by Powertech products).
These can be found in the Regulatory Recommendations Report Group (see Reports and Regulatory Recommendations).
