NIST Reports

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is a physical sciences laboratory, and a non-regulatory agency of the United States Department of Commerce. Its mission is to promote innovation and industrial competitiveness. Compliance Monitor's NIST reports pertain to the Security Controls in NIST Special Publication 800-53 (rev. 4). Standards in this document are also referenced in NIST Security Framework and NIST Privacy Framework.

The NIST standards are not specific to IBM i. Compliance Monitor's NIST report group provides security control recommendations based on an interpretation of the NIST standard by Fortras' IBM i security experts. The reports were generated to help facilitate compliance with NIST controls.
