User Preferences: PDF tab
The PDF tab allows you to specify settings for PDF reports. These are global settings for all PDF files generated by the user and are not report-specific.
How to Get There
Right-click the Consolidator and choose Preferences, then choose the PDF tab.
- Show horizontal grid lines: Select the check box to add light gray horizontal grid lines between each row of the report.
- Include Cover Page:
Select this to include a cover page in your PDF report.
- Include Filter Details: Check this box to include your Filter configuration on the cover page. See Filters tab.
- Exclude Journal Receivers. Check this box to exclude journal receivers from your PDF report.
- Maximum column width: Specify the maximum number of characters any column can contain. The default width is 50 characters. You can enter any value up to 999 characters.
- When length exceeds maximum
column width: Specify how the report should handle data that
is wider than your specified maximum. You can select from the following:
- Ellipsis: An ellipsis (…) indicates that there is additional data.
- Placement: Specify where the ellipsis is positioned in the column. Select from the following: Left, Center, or Right
- Wrap: The data wraps to the next line.
- Paper: Specify a paper size and orientation for the PDF. Select the paper size from the drop down. You can set the orientation to either Portrait or Landscape.
- Document Security: Use
these options to specify security for the PDF. You can select from
the following security settings:
- None: No security is added to the PDF.
- Tamper Resistant: Anyone can open the PDF, but editing is not allowed.
- Encrypted: Compliance
Monitor encrypts the PDF file so it is encrypted during file transfer.
When you select this option, you can enter an optional password. If
you enter a password, anyone trying to view or edit the PDF must
first enter the password. NOTE: This password is used for all PDF reports the report owner creates from any Powertech Compliance Monitor for IBM i assessment.
- Digitally Sign: The PDF is digitally signed. If you select this option, you must specify the certificate to be used for the signature. Click Certificate Info to open Certificate Settings where you can enter the certificate information.
You can select this option with any of the other security options.
