Description
Releases an elastic IP address associated with your EC2 account. Releasing an IP address automatically disassociates it from any instance with which it is associated. To disassociate an IP address without releasing it, use the Amazon EC2 - Disassociate address activity.
IMPORTANT: The AWS EC2 activities
are performed using Amazon's EC2 engine, therefore, launching
and administering Amazon EC2 instances through Automate requires
a valid Access Key ID and Secret Access Key.
Practical Usage
Commonly used to release an IP address that is no longer needed or used.
