Accessing Task Builder

Task Builder can be accessed a number of ways. When creating or editing a managed task, Task Builder is opened from Task Administrator. When creating or editing an unmanaged task, you are working only with the task steps. No other properties (for example, triggers, logon, priority properties) will be associated with the task. In this circumstance, Task Builder can be opened directly without the need to open Task Administrator or it can be invoked by opening a task (.aml) file.
