You can apply a page layout to a single page or to all selected pages.
1 If you want to change the page layout of a single page, click the page area so it is active, and then choose Format > Apply Page Layout.

If you want to change the page layout of a group of pages, select the pages in the map and choose Format > Apply Page Layout.
2 Select a page layout from the list. By default, CuteSITE Builder doesn’t include container page layouts in the list of layouts. Click the drop-down arrow below the list to change the types of page layouts CuteSITE Builder displays.
3 If you are applying the page layout to a group of pages, select the All selected pages option next to "pply Page Layout to.
4 (Optional) Click Apply to apply the page layout without closing the dialog box.
5 (Optional) If you want to make the page layout you have selected the default layout applied to any new pages you create, select the Use this same layout for new pages option. (By default, CuteSITE Builder creates new pages using the Text page layout.)
If you have made local formatting changes to the page body or border in the current layout (for example, changed a color or inserted a background picture), CuteSITE Builder asks you if you want to retain the changes in the new page layout. If you click No, CuteSITE Builder discards only formatting changes. Text you have entered or changes you have made to the Page Properties will continue to appear in the new page layout.

Most CuteSITE Builder page layouts include navigation links by default. There are two types of navigation links: either a series of navigation buttons, or a list of links. These links are not active until you place the page on a sequence or establish an up level link. Navigation links appear while you are authoring a Web site file, but if you do not put the page in a sequence or add an up level link to or from the page, they will not appear when the file is published.
Some textual elements in pages, such as navigation links and title fields, are part of the page layout applied to the page, inserted automatically. When you hover over such text, a lock symbol appears. The efficient place to edit such text is on the page layout itself. For example, to make a minor change in a corporate name or message that appears on every page, simply choose Tools > Page Layout Editor and then change the text once in the page layout. To edit a single instance of static text, you must first unlock it. However, deleting or moving static text areas may create compatibility problems when switching page layouts and when changing between CuteSITE Builder designs.
If you do make local changes to a page layout and want the changes to appear in other pages, you can either copy or "clone" the page or create or modify a page layout in order to reuse it.
