Edit a page title, summary, or other fields
The best way to change a page's title depends on whether an initial title, such as Title 1, already appears. Other fields can be added as needed, or edited in the Page Properties dialog.
Change the title directly
Double-click on the title. It turns dark gray; begin typing to replace this entire selection.
OR
Click on the title. It turns light gray; move the cursor and type to edit within this selection.
Change all a page's fields at once
1. Right-click a page in the map and choose Properties. The Page Properties dialog box appears.
2. On the Fields tab, change the contents of the title, short title, summary, author, keywords or comments.
3. On the Custom Fields tab, change the contents of any of the three custom fields.
Notes
You can also choose Edit > Properties > Page to change a page's fields.
A page’s title appears when you hover over the page on the map.
Short titles of pages appear in the main map as non-editable labels when you display the map at 200%. If a page doesn’t have a short title, CuteSITE Builder displays the first few characters of the title. Choose Map > Main Map > 200% to see these labels.
You can insert information from a page’s Properties dialog box as a field in the page’s borders or page body. For example, you can insert a title field in the top border of a page.
Once you insert a field, changes you make to the page’s Properties dialog box are immediately reflected in the field text. Conversely, whenever you directly edit the text of the field, CuteSITE Builder automatically updates the information in the page's Properties dialog box.
You can also insert a field into another page as a link. Like inserted fields, field links automatically update if you change the information in the page’s Properties dalog box, and the information in the page’s Properties box automatically updates if you edit the field link.
You can define up to three additional custom fields for each page. Like the named fields, custom fields update automatically, and can be inserted in pages or used for links.
When you search for text or check spelling, CuteSITE Builder scans the content of each page's fields first, before it scans the contents of the page.
