Configuring EFT Server to Automatically Update the Authentication Database

EFT Server can automatically check the user authentication database at regular intervals to make sure the user information is correct and current. This feature updates EFT Server only. You must manually refresh user information in EFT Administrator to see any changes. You can also change the refresh rate for each Site individually.

In the COM API, use ForceSynchronizeUserDatabase.

To automatically update authentication information

  1. In EFT Administrator, connect to EFT Server and click the Server tab.

  2. In the left pane, click the Server you want to configure.

  3. In the right pane, click the Auditing tab.

  4. In the Default User Database Refresh Interval list, select how often you want EFT Server service to check for changes to the authentication database. If you do not want the service to check, select the Never refresh user list automatically check box.

  5. When you click Refresh in EFT Administrator (in the right pane, bottom toolbar), it only checks the EFT Server service for updated user information. It does not check the authentication database.
