New/Edit User
This pane allows you to define HelpSystems One users. See Adding and Editing Users.
How to get there
In the Navigation Bar, click User Security under settings, then click Users.
On the Users tab, click Add to add a new user click Show Actions next to any user and click Edit User to edit it.
Options
Depending on the authentication type selected, the New User pane has different parameters.

Username • Description
The name and description of the User.
New Password
The password for the user. The requirements of the password are set at authentication.
Confirm New Password
Confirm the password for the user.
Reset Password
This option only appears when editing an already existing user. Click reset password to enter a new password and confirm password.
Roles
The Roles assigned to the user. See Adding Roles.
Security Groups
The Security Groups assigned to the Role. See Adding Security Groups.
Authorized To
The areas and products of HelpSystems One that the user is authorized to.
Cancel • Save
Click Cancel to dismiss the pane. Click Save to confirm your changes.

Username • Description

LDAP Value to Match
The LDAP field being used for authentication, samaccountname by default.
Roles
The Roles assigned to the user. See Adding Roles.
Security Groups
The Security Groups assigned to the Role. See Adding Security Groups.
Authorized To
The areas and products of HelpSystems One that the user is authorized to.
Cancel • Save
Click Cancel to dismiss the pane. Click Save to confirm your changes.
