Import PTAV Endpoints

NOTE: See To add *NIX servers for details on how to import PTAV endpoints.

How to get there

From the *NIX Servers screen, choose Import > Import PTAV Endpoints.

What it does

These options allow you to import existing allowed Powertech Antivirus endpoints to be managed by Deployment Manager without requiring a separate import of the servers. The number of allowed endpoints appears at the top.

Options

Authentication Type; Username and Password • SSH Private Key • No Authentication

Use these settings to configure how the servers are authenticated. If Username and Password is selected, the following three fields appear: Username, Password, Confirm Password. If SSH Private Key is selected, you are prompted to choose the file containing the key to be uploaded. No Authentication indicates authentication for server import is not required. (Authentication can be set later using Set Authentication.)

Upload SSH Private Key; Choose File

This option is available if SSH Private Key is selected for the Authentication Type. Select Choose File to specify the file containing the SSH Key used to authenticate the servers being imported.

Username • Password • Confirm Password

If all the rows in the import file have 4 columns, these fields remain disabled. If at least one row in the import file has 2 columns, the authentication info fields are enabled. Servers whose credentials are not already specified in the import file will use these credentials.
