Add pictures to the map

1. Right-click the map and choose Insert Image. Be sure to right-click the map itself, and not a map element, or the Insert Image command may not appear.

2. Select a picture. A preview of the picture appears in the lower left corner. The Show Details box in the lower right corner displays the height, width, color depth, and image type of the picture.

3. (Optional) If you want to reduce the size of the picture, click the Limit image size (in pixels) box and enter the width and height you want the picture to be. The picture will be resized proportionally.

The settings you specify will be saved and will appear the next time you insert a picture. So be sure to check this setting and adjust it, if necessary, whenever you insert a picture.

4. (Optional) If the picture is a sequential .JPG (such as a picture taken with a digital camera), you can rotate the picture before adding it. Click a rotation option.

5. Click Open.

6. Drag the picture to the desired location.

7. (Optional) Drag the corners of the picture to resize it.
