Starting and stopping the service

CuteFTP Server - home edition starts automatically and runs as an NT service. You can stop the service through the Services option in the Windows Control Panel or through the server's Administrator Interface. You can also stop all sites while leaving the service running.

To start and stop the service using the Services option in the Windows Control Panel

1. Click the Windows Start button.

2. Choose Settings > Control Panel.

3. Double-click the Services icon.

4. Select CuteFTP Server from the list.

5. Click the Stop button. Click the Start button to restart the Server Engine.

6. Click Close.

To start and stop the service using the Administrator Interface

1. Start the Administrator Interface and connect to the Server Engine.

2. Choose Edit > Service Applet Settings... from the Administrator Interface menu bar.

3. Click the Stop Service button. Click the Start Service to button to resume the service.
