Registry - Rename Key

Description:

Renames an existing key in the registry.

IMPORTANT: Incorrectly editing the registry may severely damage your system. Before making changes to the registry, you should back up any valued data on your computer.

Practical Usage

Used to rename a registry key. Don't attempt to rename keys without a very good reason. If Windows can't find specific registry keys it needs, it might not boot or operate properly.

NOTE: To make changes to a registry key, you must have the appropriate permissions.
