GDPR Data Protection Officer

Article 37 of the GDPR requires the designation of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) when you require regular and systematic monitoring of EU data subjects. Because EFT requires user account information, there are certain GDPR articles that you must adhere to, as shown in the GDPR dialog box below. The DPO is especially necessary when processing special categories of personal data, such as race, religion, genetic or biometric data, or even trade union membership (Article 9), or personal data relating to criminal convictions and offences (Article 10).

To provide the DPO email address

  1. On the Site > Web tab, next to GDPR and DPIA, click Configure.

  2. Next to Article 37, click the drop-down list to add an email address for the DPO. If a DPO is not necessary, you can choose one of the following: Data Protection Officer not assigned, Not applicable (N/A), or you are deploying Other or external measures.

  3. If you chose Data Protection Officer not assigned, click the browse button to open the Data Protection Officer email dialog box.

  4. Type an email in the box, then click OK.

  5. The list box changes to Data Protection Officer is assigned.

  6. Click OK to close the GDPR dialog box.

  7. Click Apply on the Web tab.
