To register a trial version of CuteFTP Server
Obtain a trial serial number and a copy of CuteFTP Server from www.globalscape.com.
Install CuteFTP Server on your local machine.
Start CuteFTP Server's Administrator Interface on your local machine.
Note: You can not enter your serial number while remotely administering the server.
Click the Enter Trial Serial Number button on the reminder messages that appear when you start the software or choose Help > Enter your serial number from the menu bar within the CuteFTP Server Administrator Interface.
Enter your Trial Serial Number. If you have not already received a copy of the trial serial number, you may retrieve a copy at www.globalscape.com or by sending your information to our technical support team. Be sure to include as much information as possible in order for us to quickly process your trial serial number request.
Enter your Name. This will appear in the Help > About box after you register.
Update your trial user information in the Update user info check box.
Click the Register button. You should receive a message saying that you have successfully registered your trial.
Close and restart CuteFTP Server. Your trial will now be registered.
When you enter your trial registration information it will be transmitted to us via the Internet. As part of the registration, the software will assign a unique number to your computer based on system information and will report this number to us. We will use this data to help us prevent the program from being copied onto more computers than permitted by the license.
To register a trial version of CuteFTP Server, the computer where you are installing must be able to connect to the Internet.
If you are using Windows 2003 Server and you see a warning when the reminder message appears, you will need to change an Internet Explorer security setting.
