Entering your purchased serial number

To register a purchased version of CuteFTP Server

  1. Install CuteFTP Server on your local machine.

  2. Start CuteFTP Server's main program (the Server Administrator Interface) on your local machine.

Note: You can not enter your serial number while remotely administering the server.

  1. Click the Enter Permanent Serial Number button on the reminder messages that appear when you start the software or choose Help > Enter your serial number from the menu bar within the CuteFTP Server Administrator Interface.

  2. Enter your Serial Number. If you have purchased the server, your serial number can be found on the invoice you received by e-mail, or on your product packaging if you obtained a boxed version. If you have lost your serial number, you may retrieve a copy at www.globalscape.com or by sending your information to our technical support team. Be sure to include as much information as possible to help us find your order information.

  3. Enter your Registered User Name. This should be your own name. It will appear in the Help > About box after you register.

  4. Update user info check box. If you purchased your software directly from GlobalSCAPE, your information will already be in our registration database. If you purchased the software from a GlobalSCAPE reseller, your information will not be in our registration database and you will be prompted for your contact information. You do not have to complete this information, however, this information is used for providing you with technical support and locating your serial number if necessary.

  5. Click the Register button. You should receive a message saying that you have successfully registered the server.

  6. Close and restart CuteFTP Server. It will now be registered.
